Off the gas grid, using less oil or electricity is the biggest carbon saving a Highland home can make. Natural materials do it without upsetting how old walls handle moisture.
We cover Inverness, Nairn, Dingwall, Fort William, Aviemore, Ullapool and Kyle of Lochalsh. More about our work in Inverness & the Highlands.
Recent job, Inverness: blown cellulose, made from recycled paper, packed between the joists. It fills every gap round cables and timbers, which rolls can't always do.
The most environmentally friendly thing insulation does is cut how much heating you use. The second is lasting: breathable materials on old buildings avoid the damp problems that lead to insulation being ripped out. That's why we never install spray foam in homes.
★★★★★Clean and professional outfit, solid communication from start to finish and we are delighted with the finished product.

Yes. We fit recycled-glass Earthwool, wood fibre and sheep's wool across Inverness & the Highlands, and recommend the right one for your house at a free survey.
It depends on the house. Wood fibre and sheep's wool are natural and breathable; Earthwool is mostly recycled glass and very efficient. The best one is the one that suits your walls and roof and lasts.
We don't install it in homes. It can trap moisture against roof timbers and is very hard to remove, which is why many lenders won't accept it.
Yes, if you qualify. Grants fund insulation measures, and we can often use natural materials within them.
