You're likely to qualify for some help if any of these apply:
Homeowners and private tenants can both apply. Funding rules change often, so the quickest way to know is a two-minute call.
Warmer Homes Scotland. The Scottish Government's main scheme, delivered through Home Energy Scotland. Uses an income threshold rather than a strict benefits test, with a rural uplift for Highland and island homes.
Home Energy Scotland grant and loan. For homeowners and private tenants. Covers cavity, loft and floor insulation, and needs a quote from an approved installer to apply.
ECO4. Funded by energy suppliers for households on qualifying benefits with an EPC of D or below. In its final phase, so worth applying sooner rather than later.
Council ECO Flex. For lower-income households who aren't on benefits, in participating council areas such as North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire.
A short call or the form below. We tell you which scheme fits.
We look inside your wall to make sure it's suitable. No point applying for funding to fill a wall that shouldn't be filled.
We provide the installer quote and help with the evidence the scheme asks for.
Once funding's approved, our joiners fill the cavity and seal every hole to match.
If you don't qualify, cavity wall insulation is still one of the cheapest ways to cut your heating bill, and it's usually done in a day. We'll give you a written quote either way. More on cavity wall insulation · See a recent cavity job
Possibly. If you receive a qualifying benefit, are on a lower income, or your home is rated EPC D or below, grant schemes can cover some or all of the cost. We check which applies to you before we quote.
The main routes are Warmer Homes Scotland, the Home Energy Scotland grant and loan, ECO4 while it remains open, and council ECO Flex schemes in areas such as North and South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire. The Great British Insulation Scheme closed in March 2026.
Not always. Warmer Homes Scotland uses an income threshold rather than a benefits test, and council ECO Flex routes accept lower-income households who aren't on benefits.
Yes, private tenants can apply with the landlord's agreement for most schemes. Landlords can also use the Private Rented Sector Landlord Loan.
Every grant-funded job still starts with a camera survey. If your cavity isn't suitable, we'll tell you and look at whether internal wall or loft insulation is the better use of the funding.
