Houses in Elgin, Forres, Buckie and Lossiemouth often have lofts full of stored stuff on loose boards. A raised deck keeps the insulation working and makes the space safe to use.
We cover Elgin, Forres, Buckie, Keith, Lossiemouth and Fochabers. More about our work in Moray.
Most lofts are boarded the wrong way: chipboard screwed straight onto the joists, squashing the insulation down to the joist height. Crushed insulation loses most of its performance and boards sitting on it can trap moisture.

Yes. We fit raised loft boarding, ladders and hatches across Moray, starting with a free survey.
Not without crushing the insulation. Joists are usually around 100mm deep and the insulation a loft needs is much deeper, so we raise the deck on legs.
A storage area around the hatch is usually half a day; a full loft is one to two days.
Yes, and we'd recommend it. The top-up may be grant-funded if you qualify; the boarding itself isn't.
