Many Moray homes run on oil. Cutting how much you burn is the greenest step, and natural insulation does it in the older stone houses without causing damp.
We cover Elgin, Forres, Buckie, Keith, Lossiemouth and Fochabers. More about our work in Moray.
The most environmentally friendly thing insulation does is cut how much heating you use. The second is lasting: breathable materials on old buildings avoid the damp problems that lead to insulation being ripped out. That's why we never install spray foam in homes.
★★★★★Really impressed with Scottherm Insulation. The installers were organised, tidy, and clearly took pride in their work.
★★★★★Clean and professional outfit, solid communication from start to finish and we are delighted with the finished product.
Yes. We fit recycled-glass Earthwool, wood fibre and sheep's wool across Moray, and recommend the right one for your house at a free survey.
It depends on the house. Wood fibre and sheep's wool are natural and breathable; Earthwool is mostly recycled glass and very efficient. The best one is the one that suits your walls and roof and lasts.
We don't install it in homes. It can trap moisture against roof timbers and is very hard to remove, which is why many lenders won't accept it.
Yes, if you qualify. Grants fund insulation measures, and we can often use natural materials within them.
