Rural Borders homes are often on oil or LPG. Natural materials cut fuel use without upsetting the moisture balance of traditional stone buildings.
We cover Galashiels, Hawick, Peebles, Kelso, Selkirk, Jedburgh and Eyemouth. More about our work in Scottish Borders.
The most environmentally friendly thing insulation does is cut how much heating you use. The second is lasting: breathable materials on old buildings avoid the damp problems that lead to insulation being ripped out. That's why we never install spray foam in homes.

Yes. We fit recycled-glass Earthwool, wood fibre and sheep's wool across Scottish Borders, and recommend the right one for your house at a free survey.
It depends on the house. Wood fibre and sheep's wool are natural and breathable; Earthwool is mostly recycled glass and very efficient. The best one is the one that suits your walls and roof and lasts.
We don't install it in homes. It can trap moisture against roof timbers and is very hard to remove, which is why many lenders won't accept it.
Yes, if you qualify. Grants fund insulation measures, and we can often use natural materials within them.
