Three steps, no pressure at any of them. Most customers go from first call to a finished loft inside a fortnight.
We come out, measure the loft, check the existing insulation depth and look for damp or ventilation issues before quoting anything.
One clear price covering materials, labour and clearing up. If you qualify for grant funding we will tell you before you spend anything.
Most lofts are completed in a single visit. We take the waste away and leave you a written workmanship guarantee.
Straight answer, because everybody asks. These are typical ranges for a standard top-up to current recommended depth — your survey confirms the real figure.
| Property | Typical loft area | Typical range |
|---|---|---|
| Mid-terrace house | Around 30 m² | £350 – £550 |
| Semi-detached house | Around 45 m² | £450 – £700 |
| Detached house | Around 60 m² | £600 – £950 |
| Bungalow | Around 75 m² | £700 – £1,100 |
Guide prices only. Clearing a heavily loaded loft, awkward access or ventilation work can change the figure — which is exactly why the survey is free.
★★★★★“Surveyor turned up when he said, quoted on the spot and the price never moved. Two lads did the whole loft in a morning.”
Verified customer, Glasgow
★★★★★“They checked whether we qualified for a grant first rather than just selling us the job. Ended up paying, but I appreciated the honesty.”
Verified customer, Edinburgh
★★★★★“House is noticeably warmer of a morning and the heating is not running anywhere near as long. Tidy job, no mess left.”

Most standard lofts are done in three to five hours. Larger detached properties or lofts that need clearing first can run to a full day.
It depends on your property, what is up there already and how you heat the house. A loft going from little or no insulation to current recommended depth typically makes the biggest difference of any single measure. Your surveyor will give you a realistic figure for your home rather than a headline number.
We check that first. ScotTherm is TrustMark approved and works with ECO4 and the Great British Insulation Scheme. If you are eligible we will tell you before you pay for anything.
Not on domestic lofts. Spray foam can cause problems with mortgages and surveys, so we fit mineral wool from Knauf and Rockwool instead.
The whole central belt including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Falkirk, Stirling, West Lothian, Renfrewshire, Inverclyde, Dunbartonshire, Fife, Ayrshire and the Lothians — and much of the rest of Scotland besides.
Free survey, fixed price, no obligation. Tell us about your loft and we will come back to you the same working day wherever possible.
